About Metro Water Services

Metro Water Services is a department of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County. We provide water, wastewater and stormwater services to over 250,000 customers.

To supply, treat, manage, and protect our water resources in a sustainable manner for the benefit of all who live, work, and play in our community.

Drinking Water Treatment

Metro Water Services has two water treatments plants that serve you: K.R. Harrington and Omohundro. We can treat up to 180 million gallons of water per day and we deliver drinking water through over 3,000 miles of water main, with our largest pipe being five feet wide.

Service Area: Davidson County and portions of Rutherford and Williamson Counties.

Wastewater Treatment

We reclaim wastewater at one of three wastewater treatment plants: Central, Dry Creek, and Whites Creek. We treat an average of 186 million gallons of water a day and can treat up to 500 million gallons of water per day during heavy rain. We maintain more than 3,000 miles of sewer pipes, the largest being 16 feet wide.

Service Area: Davidson County and portions of Sumner, Robertson, Wilson, Rutherford, and Williamson Counties.
